Quality Control Manager
Location: Northern Virginia
Own the standard our work is measured against: inspection plans, first-article approvals, test result review, and turnover package verification. The last check before a job is called complete.
Responsibilities

Develop project-specific quality control plans and inspection checklists

Review and approve first-article racks and cabinets before building repeats

Conduct in-progress and final inspections against the project standard

Review copper certification and fiber test results for completeness and compliance with loss budgets

Verify labeling against the approved scheme

Verify as-built documentation reflects installed conditions

Track nonconformances and corrective actions to closure
-
Assemble and verify turnover packages before client delivery

Walk final punch lists with clients and confirm closeout
-
Identify recurring defects and feed them back into training and process
Requirements
-
5+ years in structured cabling, fiber, or data center installation
-
Working knowledge of ANSI/TIA-568, 606, and 607
-
Able to interpret certification test reports and OTDR traces
-
Fluent reading drawings and verifying as-built accuracy

Willing to travel to job sites
Preferred
-
BICSI RCDD or technician certification
-
Experience with ISO 9001 or a formal quality management system

Prior field installation background

Experience preparing turnover packages for colocation or hyperscale clients
